New promo for The Flash season 2 released

The CW has released a new promo for The Flash season 2, showing off more footage from the all-new episodes, including our first look at Jay Garrick, the golden age Flash of Earth-2! Check it out in the player below.

Jay Garrick made his debut appearance in 1940’s “Flash Comics” [Tienes que estar registrado y conectado para ver este vínculo]. When Barry Allen was introduced 16 years later as a rebooted version of the scarlet speedster, Allen actually took inspiration for his superhero identity from the “fictional” comics featuring Jay Garrick’s The Flash. Eventually, however, the pair would meet after it was revealed that they populated parallel Earths, Earth-1 and Earth-2, respectively.

Teddy Sears (“Masters of Sex,” “Raising the Bar”) has been cast as Jay Garrick for the upcoming season. It is said that he will be introduced as a mysterious figure who arrives in Central City to warn Barry Allen and his team at S.T.A.R. Labs of an impending danger that he alone cannot hope to stop.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West. The new season will see the addition of newcomers Violett Beane as the female speedster Jesse Quick, Demore Barnes as Tokamak, and Candyman himself Tony Todd as the voice of the new “big bad,” Zoom. The Flash is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, David Nutter and Sarah Schechter.

The Flash will premiere its second season on Tuesday, October 6 at 8 p.m. EST.
